The M&P22 Compact is a fun and accurate practice and plinking pistol. A reduced-scale version of the fantastic S&W M&P handgun, this 22 rimfire version of the M&P is a rugged and reliable little 22 Long Rifle pistol that remains a solid stalwart in the S&W M&P line.
The M&P22 like its full-caliber big brother has an ambidextrous manual safety, a reversible mag release, an accessory rail and a polymer frame with a Armornite slide finish. The M&P22 is 6.7 inches long and has a fixed, 3.6 inch threaded barrel which means that with the proper adaptor from Cheaper Than Dirt you can mount your favorite suppressor for more plinking fun then should be legal. The M&P22 has a magazine-safety and an internal lock, giving you a little better piece of mind. The sights are white-dots front and rear while the rear is screw adjustable.
The M&P22 ships with two, 10-round magazines and it field strips like the full-sized gun. The S&W M&P22 Compact is ideally suited for serious training or undemanding shooting enjoyment with the popular and inexpensive .22 LR cartridge.
